ECM started operation in 2001, commencing with a number of small projects in the mining sector and covering a variety of work. That year, ECM accepted the role of Project Manager for the construction of the Mermaid Marine-Dampier Supply Base Expansion.
This $26M Mermaid Marine-Dampier Supply Base project involved the overall project management of the construction of a 400T slipway, dredging works and land reclamation, quarrying, revetment and other earthworks, heavy load out wharf design and construction, installation of potable and fire water services, HV electrical distribution, storm water drainage and building works.
